Out & About | When F.A.B meets Fab!!

Hey Fabbies,

If you’ve ever maintained an active blog, then you know it’s no easy feat. Why, with the picture taking, content curating, trend watching, and overall time it takes to keep a blog alive {and poppin’!}, it’s no wonder why so many come out the gate swinging only to fizzle and die after a short span of time… Yeah, it’s THAT serious – Blogging will burn you out!

However, there are those instances when you come out the gate swinging – and you never stop!  This past Sunday, we had the honor and pleasure of celebrating a young lady who has done and is doing just that, the lovely Ashley Carter of Fabellis!

We had the pleasure of ‘officially’ meeting Ashley last year at our event, The Style Symposium.  From the moment we met, it was nothing but great vibes and pure love.  Mind you, we had been stalking her blog for years before that, so to meet her and see that she was just as inviting and authentic as her blogging style was welcoming and refreshing.

Because of her beautiful spirit, when we saw that she was having a #FabFiveBrunch to celebrate her blogging anniversary, which also happens to be her natural hair anniversary {Talk about precise planning!} it was a no-brainer for us to attend. This wonderful occasion took place at a quaint restaurant in North Hills called Midtown Grille. This was our first time there, but if you’re in Raleigh, you should check them out. We both had the shrimp and grits, which was delicious and the atmosphere is perfect for Sunday brunch with the girls!

During the brunch, there was great conversation, giveaways (which we both won!) and guest speakers. The first was The Duchess of Brows, Tia Teasley, who shared her awesome testimony on how she found her passion in the beauty industry, after being laid off at a corporate job, and even treated us to a live demonstration on how to maintain beautiful eyebrows. The second speaker was Tiffany Denae, who is Fab’s stylist. Do yourself a favor and go check out this lady’s skills – she is the TRUTH!

Needless to say, this event was amazing and we couldn’t think of a better way to spend our Sunday than with celebrating with these beautiful young ladies.  There’s something magical that happens when a room full of supportive women get together and to be in the midst of that atmosphere is a magic all it’s own.

Thank you for five years of Fabellis, Ashley. May you be blessed with many more!

Until next time, live F.A.B with no regrets!
